Rock Reef Project
The mission of the Chippewa Rod and Gun Club is to improve fish and wildlife habitat. One of the ways we do this is by building Rock Reefs in Lake Wissota.
In the years that the ice gets thick enough to support the work, we cut holes in the ice over locations approved by the DNR and dump large rock boulders into the lake. This provides good breeding grounds for native fishes and good spots for fishing.
