Tree Project

In the spring of 1996 the Chippewa Rod & Gun Club first offered seedling trees for sale to the public. Since then the club has distributed over 140,000 seedling trees. The club decided they would start the project with the hope that shoreline landowners would be help to diversify the species of trees and shrubs along the banks of Lake Wissota and the Rivers of the county.

Thank you for you support of the Rod and Gun Club Tree Sale.

The Rod and Gun Club has successfully concluded the spring 2017 tree sale.

The club wishes to thank the many people and businesses that helped make the sale a success. We were able to get over 7,400 trees and shrubs planted around the Chippewa Valley.

The club would like to thank Paint Creek Nursery for working so closely with the club to providing the many, diverse species of plants to us.

The club would also like to thank Gordy's Grocery Downtown Chippewa Falls for the use of their parking lot for distribution, Chippewa Hardware for distributing the forms, Ace Hardware Store Lake Wissota, D.J.'s gas stations, Kwik-Trip gas stations and Chippewa Family Restaurant for letting the club distribute tree forms.

The Members of the Tree Project would like to thank the boys and adults of Troop 15 of Chippewa Falls for their help in tree sorting. The project also thanks the many members that volunteered on Saturday tree sorting and the Sunday Distribution.

Without the many volunteers, this project could not have taken place much less been the success that it was.
